Why The Role Is Important To Us
To support with this we are currently undergoing a significant period of change as we begin the transition onto our new HR/Payroll System (Dayforce). This transition will really support us as a Team and Organisation in making sure that our People Come First and you will be supporting our Teammates in the NSC or in our settings as we make this change together.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce offer letters, contracts of employment and contract changes, as required including absence/maternity/paternity letters and file accordingly.
- Act as the first point of contact for 1st line people and culture related queries, providing quality and timely information to employees and managers via our case management system(Freshdesk)/email/telephone on relevant procedures and policies such as maternity, paternity, annual leave, sickness, absence management etc (this list is not exclusive).
- Deliver the employee exit and offboarding process.
- Ensure that all paper scanning is carried out in a timely manner and is stored correctly in accordance with GDPR legislation.
- Ensure that the organisations mandated on-boarding compliance requirements are fully adhered to.
- Ensure that full up to-date job descriptions for all roles are in place with a recorded regular annual review process.
- Complete monthly and as required, MI reporting stats on all key people and culture related activities in a timebound manner, sharing suggested best practice improvement ideas where necessary.
- Ensuring that you meet the statutory responsibilities with regard to safeguarding, health and safety, equality and diversity in the workplace and other relevant employment legislation.
- Participation and active involvement in ad-hoc people & culture related projects.
Experience & Personal Attributes Required
- Quantifiable administration experience preferably gained in a shared services environment.
- Excellent IT skills in (e.g.) Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and familiarity with using a HR/Payroll System (Dayforce, Oracle, etc) alongside a Case Management system (Freshdesk) and able to demonstrate knowledge and application to various work systems, equipment, business processes and documentation.
- Flexible, adaptable and willing to take on a variety of tasks to meet business need.
- Experience gained of safeguarding requirements in a nursery's environment.
- Experience of the end-to-end recruiting, on-boarding and compliance process using online and digital social media options.
- Awareness of UK employment legislation.
- Have experience partnering in a high volume, customer focused environment and the ability to advise, guide and influence as needed.
- Is able to manage own time and workload, juggling conflicting priorities, working effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Are passionate about treating people fairly and respectfully, in line with the desired organisational culture and its values.
- Good communication (written and oral) techniques used across various forums.
- Skilled in the production of high-quality reports and written materials.
- Have a customer service and support excellence mind-set with a strategic focus on exceptional building and maintaining of relationships.
