Regional Quality Advisor, South East/London Area, FTC 6 months - Salary £45,000 + pro rata - £6K car allowance

 

We are alooking for a Regional Quality Advisor to implement best quality practice in line with company philosophy and ethos, covering early childhood quality monitoring, action planning and implementation across the business.

This role is vital as it offers face to face guidance, advice, and support to the Regional Business Managers, Area Managers and Nursery Managers on all aspects of early childhood, quality and compliance resulting in the very best outcomes for children and a minimum of “Good “rating at Ofsted inspection.

As Regional Quality Advisor you will :

  • Be Designated Safeguarding Lead to a Region of Nurseries
  • Deliver Quality and Compliance, Curiculum Planning and Philosophy and Ethos.
  • Report to the Quality Business Partners any Safeguarding, Ofsted/compliance issues needing Ofsted or RIDDOR notification for your region.
  • working in collaboration with the Operations Excellence team to ensure that Quality related initiatives are implemented successfully and responsible for advocating for outstanding quality when integrating new settings

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Implement and cascade updates and changes to compliance and quality policies.
  • Plan and conduct quality and compliance audits with Area Managers and Nursery Managers.
  • Deliver early childhood and quality awareness sessions to the Learning and Development team.
  • Work with the Head of Quality and Early Years Education on organisational planning processes.
  • Support Nursery Managers in creating bespoke curriculums aligned with our philosophy and ethos.
  • Partner with Regional Business Managers to train and support Area Managers.
  • Conduct mock inspections and plan for Ofsted visits, providing on-site support during inspections.
  • Produce reports on audit and inspection outcomes for senior management.
  • Maintain RAG rating spreadsheets and prepare Ofsted notification and RIDDOR reports.
  • Identify settings with potential for Outstanding ratings and develop strategies to achieve this.

How You’ll Succeed – What Does Success Look Like?

Success means maintaining clear, accountable records for safeguarding and child protection issues, ensuring timely Ofsted notifications, and keeping Area and Nursery Managers well-informed on early childhood and quality updates. Policies should be effectively cascaded, and processes for mock inspections and audits must allow for timely support measures. You will ensure robust SEN provision and funding utilisation, and maintain up-to-date SEND policies and early intervention processes. This support will help nurseries achieve Good or Outstanding ratings in inspections.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • A passion for continuously improving and raising SEND standards.
  • Maintaining high safeguarding standards across your region.
  • Excellent organisational skills and workload management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
  • Robust record-keeping and the ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations.
  • Willingness to travel nationwide with occasional overnight stays.
  • Experience managing complex child protection and safeguarding issues.
  • Experience working with Ofsted and other external stakeholders.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a field-based role supporting Area Managers/Nursery Managers with the Statutory Framework.
  • Experience helping a nursery achieve an Outstanding Ofsted grade within the past 3 years.
  • A childcare qualification at level 3 or above.
  • An excellent understanding of the EYFS and Ofsted requirements.
  • Ability to lead and inspire Nursery Teams and Managers.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations related to childcare.
  • Understanding of complex Equality and Diversity practices.
  • A robust understanding of SEN both in theory and practice.
